“The one that knows how to listen to Nature’s beauty will always find oneself`s way back to reconnect with its ancestors… We all have inside us an untamed spirit, just waiting for the perfect moment to break free from the cages we’ve built around it!”

Embracing shadows? Have you thought about this?

There are times when all we need is to be able to talk to ourselves… to just look deep inside us and try to figure out what is going on in there! Are we happy where we are, are we happy about the people which surround us, are we proud of the person we’ve become? Do we enjoy life as we should or do we feel we deserve more? With all this social media “perfection” going on, we forget that no life is perfect, that no moment lasts forever, that happiness is only appreciated because you one day felt sadness!

We are taught that positivity is the key, that changing our subconscious is the right way to start transforming our lives, that being one with Nature will widen our perspectives and I do agree with all of them! But all these things won’t work unless you pay attention to your inner demons, to your fears, to your shadows… unless you embrace them and tell them that they are accepted and welcomed, that they shouldn’t be hiding in the darkest corners of yourself as they won’t be oppressed anymore! Just as the stars wouldn’t be loved without the darkness that surrounds them, a strong personality wouldn’t be acknowledged without the hard moments that have built it.

We all have within ourselves a force that we keep in a cage, afraid it will ruin what we have created so far. So, whether we are afraid of what others have to say about our choices because we have placed too much power in their hands or we are just too scared of our selves, everything we get to live will bring a lesson for our future self. With every lesson we learn, we can improve ourselves, become better and wiser, appreciate what we have and accept that we want more and not feel guilty about it.

How often do you embrace your shadows? I know mine are receiving special treatment these days!

“Practice listening to your intuition, your inner voice; ask questions; be curious; see what you see; hear what you hear; and then act upon what you know to be true. These intuitive powers were given to your soul at birth.”  (Clarissa Pinkola Estés)

She walked around the house as if she was waiting for an answer. She felt as if her thoughts caught life and were walking right beside her. One by one, passing in front of her eyes. Could it be true? Was she wrong? She was looking for answers and all she was receiving was even more uncertainty! Her thoughts were making a fool of her or maybe she just wasn’t learning anything from her old lessons…
